The Friends of the Chester Library is a
non-profit organization which raises funds for the extras for our Library. The Friends
purchased KC, our Kids Computer. They also sponsor the special entertainers who perform
for the kids during school holidays. Our Friends also provide seed money for new projects
such as this Home Page and for new collections such as our music cd's.
The Friends raise funds through membership, twice yearly used book sales
and sale of tote bags and notepaper in the Library. To join Friends, just send a check
payable to "Friends of the Chester Library" to the Library. Dues are:
 | $ 5.00 Individual
|
 | $ 3.00 Senior Citizen

 | $10.00 Family

Books may be donated to the book sale at almost any time. Books should be
clean (not musty) and in good condition. Children's books, paperbacks and hard covers are
all good sellers. Sorry, but we cannot take text books, magazines, or condensed books -
they don't sell! We also accept videos and cassettes. The IRS will not let us set a
monetary value on your donation, but we do give a receipt for the number of items upon
request.
